What is an electric bicycle?
An electric bicycle is a power-assisted bicycle also known as an "e-bike" with an added battery powered electric motor. It can also be driven like a bicycle without any power assist. The addition of the power assist enables the rider to achieve greater mobility, to climb hills or ride against the wind more easily.
Pedelec:: Being controlled by a motor with motion sensing, assistance is enabled only when the rider is simultaneously pedaling. In addition, the extent of assistance and hence speed is controlled by means of a 鈥減ower twist grip鈥 (throttle).
E-Bike: In contrast to Pedelec, motor output of the E-Bike is exclusively controlled by means of a twist grip (throttle). Thus, physical strength and motor power work as driving systems independent of each other.

What are the advantages of Luyuan battery over other brands?
As we understand that battery performance is critical to the experience of an Ebike user, Luyuan places batteries through a series of intensive tests on capacity, life, temperatures before assembled onto a Luyuan ebike. Luyuan charger features larger capacity (10%-15% leading others), longer useful life (20% longer), easier and effective maintenance compatible with BM charger. Exhausted batteries can be restored by adding liquid.

What is the Luyuan BM charger?
BM, Battery Maintenance charger optimizes the operation of a battery though a computer chip inside the charger to maximize battery life. It takes only one third of the average time to fully charge a normal ebike battery and is able to diagnose and repair batteries at the same time.
Ordinary chargers tend to heat a battery to an unnecessary level while taking a longer time charging, resulted from time to time in damages to a battery. While Luyuan BM charger is able to diagnose and monitor the battery by using the CPU chip. Still, we would like to suggest to our customer to charge battery promptly and frequently.

How long can one use the battery?
It varies depending on the type of battery, how an user handles the charger, EABS use and road condition. According to feedback of our customer, our lead acid battery generally last for 18 month. We recommend our customers to buy the model with ampere meter, power saving function and BM charger, and not to leave the bike without power for long.

What is the energy cost?
Electric bicycles are the most energy efficient vehicle. 1kw will drive the bike for 100 kilo meters 鈥 that鈥檚 about 25 鈥 50 cents in most country.

What energy saving technologies are used in Luyuan ebike?
EABS, 鈥淓nergy Absorption Braking System鈥 is used to use motor as a brake to recharge the battery when the rider applies brake. Luyuan also uses double speed switch on the handlebar to select the optimum mode according to the road condition. One is power saving mode for flat road, the other one for steep hill or challenging road conditions.
Luyuan has also developed an original technology of Negative Ammeter. When the needle points at the right side and shows the battery is being discharged. When the needle of the Ammeter points at left side to show battery is be charged by EABS.

Can I climb hills with Luyuan electric bicycle?
Luyuan uses motors with CPU chips and high toque and effective power conversion, specially the SUPER POWER motor which can generally carry 200kg, climb 30掳Slope from static state, can pull a family-car or small truck easily.
A good electric bicycle depends on both the motor and the controller working in harmony. Acceleration, torque, maximum output, assistance factor are the real the judges of what a good electric bicycle should be. Check out the summary of the extra energy test report.

What are the key performance indicators for choosing an electric bike?
We recommend you consider the following major indicators. For Safety, you should look at its frame loading capacity, brake system, emergency switch, alarm system, for driving force, you should look at the motor output power and for Battery, you should look at the capacity, life, charge time.

How fast can a Luyuan electric bicycle run?
This depends on your local regulations. We put in the controls and motor specifications to meet such requirements.
For USA consumers
The US Senate has passed SR 1156 clearing the way for legal definition of an electric bicycle in the USA, it was signed into law which views electric bicycles as a consumer product and subject to rules of the Consumer Product Safety Commission. It is defined as a bicycle that has two pedals (and is capable of being propelled by those pedals) and an electric motor of no more than 750 watts, a top speed (on motor only) of 20 mph as a "bicycle"
EU consumers
Pedelecs up to 25km/h (16 mph) and a motor no more than 250 watts rated output are considered bicycles. Type approval is not required in all EU member states.
